This engagement session was a freaking blast!! When Leandra originally reached out to book me for her wedding, I literally squealed with excitement hah! I had previously met her and Trenton through friends and just KNEW they were going to be amazing people to work with, and boy was I right!
Leandra & Trenton originally met because of Leandra’s sister (shout out to her!!) because she happened to be Trenton’s boss at the time! One day Leandra went to her sister’s work to pick her up and grab lunch when Trenton spotted her. Well, when they got back from lunch, he asked her sister about her, messaged her on Instagram and the rest was history from there!
Trenton proposed on Memorial Day in Manhattan, KS at the scenic overlook! Unfortunately, it had been raining all day so he was super nervous, but right when they pulled up the weather cleared and they hiked to the top where he popped the question!! When I asked if either of them remembered what they had said in the moment, both said they had NO idea, except the fact that when he got on one knee the ring got stuck in his jacket pocket hah!
For their engagement session, we started out exploring downtown Topeka where we found some awesome alley background variations and then headed to the Kansas History Museum for some beautiful sunset photos. We couldn’t have timed the weather any better and I can’t wait to celebrate their marriage at the Foundry in April!!
