Annelise, James and their sweet puppy joined me for their classy engagement session in Lawrence, KS!

Annelise and James first met at Leroy’s Taven in Lawrence, KS, so it made sense we started the session relaxing and drinking fun cocktails at a bar downtown! Despite Annelise spending the following summer in Chicago after they met, they stayed in touch and were inseparable the minute she came back to town!

One day James suggested they take a walk with their dog Buddy, even though the weather was cool and cloudy. He brought them to Wells Outlook and popped the questions with the beautiful Lawrence skyline in the background and their puppy by their side! After celebrating, they went to enjoy dinner and share the news with family and friends!

Sessions like this remind me how fun it is to explore new places with my couples! These two were SO fun and natural in front of the camera, I can’t wait to do it all over again for their wedding in December!
