Last weekend the day before Halloween, I spent the day with Kerri and Ben at their barn wedding venue as they celebrated what would have been their wedding celebration last summer. Unfortunately, last year due to covid, they had to significantly reduce the amount of people invited to their wedding, so they decided to do a small wedding ceremony and celebrate at their reception with friends and family when the time was safe.
This weekend FINALLY came and holy heck was it awesome!! However, it wasn’t your typical wedding reception because they had a surprise for the guests…
Right after their “second” first dance, the DJ announced on the microphone there was a “Murder in the building!!” They had surprised their guests with a murder mystery party! The bride and groom had clues set out in decorations around the entire reception area and immediately people started scrambling to figure out who was the murdererrrrr. I was super impressed to find out Kerri and Ben put together the ENTIRE mystery themselves because it was SO creative and everyone loved it! Talk about a memorable reception am I right?!
The night ended in couple sunset photos and guests getting boogie on the dance floor, which in my mind couldn’t get any better 😊
They cut their dance short to announce there was a murder in the building!!
Guests had to read the clues and go around the reception to find who was the murderer in the group!
Turns out, two of the guests had the murder weapon and a chunk of cash hidden under their seats and they were caught!
SO FUN!!
