Trina & Lou – NOTO Arts & Entertainment District & the Governor’s mansion

April showers luckily did not interrupt my recent engagement session with Trina and Lou! Last year, these two won one of my free mini sessions so I already knew how much fun this session was going to be!

Trina and Lou met when they were both working at JCPenney in Manhattan! They remember talking about a party their coworker threw and have been together ever since 😊

In the words of Trina, “Lou was a jerk” when it came to the proposal hahah! He told her he wasn’t planning on proposing for an entire 6 months so she had no idea it was coming!! Lou actually proposed a week earlier than he originally planned. He had set up a proposal with a surprise party after, but was nervous to wait because he thought Trina would find the ring!!

So on march 5th, he suggested they go to Gage Park so their sweet son Oliver could play. They happened to meet up with Lou’s brother and sister-in-law which, although Trina found odd, they continued with the day. At one point, his brother challenged Trina to swing across one of the metal bars at the park and of course she wasn’t going turn down that challenge, so she decided to swing across backwards! Turns out when she got to the end, she turned around in complete shock to see Lou down on one knee!

Hanging out with these two perfectly describes how I enjoy my evenings – catching up with friends and being goofy together! This engagement session was such a breeze I know their wedding is going to be even better! Less then a year for their stunning wedding at Stony Point Hall!!
