Courtney & Josh’s Wedding – Lawrence, KS

Introducing, Mr. and Mrs. Saathoff!! This weekend Corey and I got to photograph Courtney and Josh’s wedding in Lawrence, KS, and let me just say it was one we will always remember!

We started the day at the Jayhawk Club photographing their gorgeous venue space and spending time with Courtney and her bridesmaids! Then we were off to Corpus Christi Catholic Church where they spent the rest of the afternoon getting ready and prepping for their wedding. Right before the ceremony, Courtney and Josh took some time to themselves and had the sweetest first look in which you could tell their nerves were instantly gone the second they saw one another!

From the moment they got married, their friends and family were ready to celebrate with them!! Although the Kansas heat hit us HARD that day (we’re talking over 100 degrees!!), it didn’t stop us from making a stop on KU’s campus to visit where Courtney’s family tailgates for games. There, we made sure to raise a beer in honor of Courtney’s dad who unfortunately couldn’t be with us.

The rest of the day went off without a hitch! Some of my favorite memories were beer coolers getting confiscated, using hairdryers to dry sweat out of clothes, stealing back the confiscated beer coolers, a cigar bar to represent Courtney’s dad, and a private last dance shared by the bride and groom to close out their reception.

Every single person and vendor we interacted with throughout the day was absolutely incredible! Courtney and Josh, your wedding was so amazing and Corey and I couldn’t have been more grateful to be a part of it!!
