Meredith and Simon’s love story began when they became friend’s freshman year of college at Washburn University! Over the next four years, their friendship slowly turned into more and they began dating their senior year and never looked back. In Meredith’s words, “Simon CRUSHED the proposal!” He planned a picture-perfect evening when he proposed in downtown KC on a rooftop with her sisters, then surprised her by having both of their families at dinner. THEN to top it off, they went to their favorite bar where their friends were waiting to celebrate them!

These two are getting married at the Union Event space in downtown KC, so they knew for their engagement session they wanted an urban downtown look to go with their venue, along with greenery and nature for their second outfit. We found an incredible area that reflected their urban style and then ended the session with dreamy sunset lighting at one of my favorite locations, Loose Park!

I’ve known Meredith for over ten years now and it doesn’t seem real that I get to document this amazing moment of her life! These two are caring, goofy and amazing individuals and I’m SO lucky I’ve gotten to witness their beautiful relationship.
