Val & John’s Wedding – Willows Bend, Carbondale, KS

Val and John got married at the Willow’s Bend wedding venue in Carbondale, KS, where their day consisted of a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony overlooking the lake, an indoor reception celebration with family and friends, and a firework show to round out the night!

The venue was decorated with beautiful flowers and greenery which highlighted romantic personalized details of the couple. We spent the morning separately with the bride and groom and their bridal party prepping for what was about to be the perfect day for a wedding!!

One of my favorite parts of the day was when Val and her father shared a first look. This moment was SO emotional (not only for them but also me!!) as they shared laughter, tears and excitement celebrating what was about to become Val’s next big adventure. When John turned around to first see Val, the look on his face said it all! It seemed as though time stopped as he couldn’t stop starting at how beautiful she was! Growing up, my mother always said find a man who adores you, and in that one expression, you could tell how much he love and adores Val!

The rest of the day was spent with the couple saying “I Do,” sentimental reception speeches, and a great dance floor that ended with everyone singing karaoke!!

During the reception, we ventured outside for bride and groom sunset photos, but mother nature had different plans! Turns out right at that moment Kansas wanted to wish them a good luck rain shower, so we ran back inside JUST before getting poured on ha! So, after spending some extra time inside grooving on the dance floor and letting the storm pass, we were in luck because the clouds cleared right before the sunset and we captured gorgeous photos overlooking the storm and lake! Sometimes timing has a funny way of always working out 😊

This wedding was incredibly special because Corey and I knew SO many people involved with the day! Every wedding is a gift to be a part of, and the fact we have grown to know so many wonderful people and clients throughout this business has been a dream come true. Val and John, your wedding was amazing and one that I’ll be reliving over and over!
