Brittany & Mike’s Wedding – Gretna, NE

Time for a road trip!!

This past Friday, Corey and I hit the road and traveled up to Gretna, Nebraska, and spent the day with Brittany and Mike for their wedding!

Brittany and Mike first met back in 2005 when Mike was finishing his final school semester and after becoming friends, they decided to officially start dating in 2009. Throughout their relationship, they had several adventures along the way including running a café and bakery together, moving states for work, adopting two dogs, and supporting each other through ups and downs.

When talking about marriage, Brittany told Mike he could not propose on ANY holiday or birthday, that is, except for St. Patrick’s Day. Sure enough, Mike never forgot that request because on March 17th, 2021, he proposed at a waterfall in Reiman Gardens, Iowa, with an orchids display nearby (Brittany’s favorite flower).

Before the wedding day, I asked what they were most looking forward to. Their answer confirmed they were 100% my people because they were excited to celebrate with friends and family, but said tacos, margs and mojitos were a close second hah! They also wanted to include their dogs throughout the wedding, which OF COURSE made me even more excited for the day!!

Brittany and Mike’s wedding took place on Mike’s parent’s land where they had an intimate ceremony space set up in their backyard and a tent for a fiesta celebration after! From florals to small thought out details, everything throughout the day was packed with vibrant colors which reflected truly how fun this group was!

Brittany and Mike, thank you for putting your long distance trust in us. It was an absolute honor to explore trails, spoil your doggos and spend a rockin evening with you and your family and friends. What an awesome wedding which kick off a weekend!!
